Boo-Boo – A Pet Story

“Mom, do rabbits love carrots?”

“Yes, they do eat carrots. But I have read that they love grass the most. Rabbit and carrot rhyme well. Don’t they? Perhaps that’s why the pair is seen in most of
your storybooks. “

“Mom, Can I get a rabbit for my next birthday? Pretty please. Hmm…Or you can buy one for Ameya, her birthday falls first. “

“Are you sure? Taking care of a pet is a big responsibility.

“I will look after it, Mom. I want a grey rabbit. “

“For you or your sister?”

“For both of us, Mom. We need only one rabbit, a grey one.

“Okay then. Let me call the pet shop near the corner.”

“Don’t worry about that, Mom. I will ring at the pet shop. I’m already eight.”

“That makes you a real gentleman dear, here is the phone. Your dad and I will be in the kitchen if you need anything. We have to do the dishes.”

And that’s how Ameya got her first pet – A grey rabbit – Boo Boo.
